Very overpriced, meat could not have been cut any thinner. Could not eat any of my beef, to say it was chewy is an understatement. Officially the most watered down gravy in Sunderland. Will not be returning. Pleasant waiting staff though.

The staff were friendly enough but we all felt disappointed in the food. My father but into a large bit of garlic which was in the potatoes and was that strong, that's all he could taste for the rest of the meal. Someone else had a lump of what we can only assume was a gravy block. The reason we chose the Sunday was so my mam could get lamb but there was none on. Also a couple got the king size and no sausages to go with it. Found a few of the vegetables to be dry too. Overall, we all thought it was a disappointing experience. I know you can't get perfection every time but feel the Barnes is very hit and miss so From now on, I think we'll use the one in cleadon.
